Chicken Style?
The Orpingtons are the only group of chickens that don’t have access to a natural dirt floor. Living in the ‘Palace’ does have its downside. So I’ve been stewing on how to give them a good ‘dirt bath’ to dig in. I’ve tried these in the past. In the winter I find the ‘dirt’ freezes… unless it is in the sunshine like it is in the Clubhouse or the Cafe. So … Ede brought home some ‘play sand’ and I filled one of the sleds – pulled it into the Palace and placed it in the sunshine. So far … no takers!
