Judging by the tom foolery going on between these two in the paddock this afternoon I’d say giving Bella some ‘bute’ (pain killer/anti-inflammatory) was the right move. PLUS closing the gate and keeping the three of them in the smaller paddock overnight gave Bella some good rest.
Darby kept a close eye on her – and me! I brought out some of the ‘summer’ (aka no snow) toys to entertain them while I worked.
I think we’ve taken a step in the right direction.
