First thing this morning … where were those jennies?
Ahhh … hanging out in the woods. So great that the snow isn’t deep and they can still be up there.
After yesterday’s walk I can see that they’ve gone back down the fence line trail on their own.
I think Darby noted she had left some leaves behind …
When we were working on moving a fence line (to make more room for the outdoor Guinea run) our apprentice was right on hand to help out. š
Miss Charlie has decided she wants a nest …

… away from the roosters …
… where she can get some shut eye!
Bella and I were discussing patterns for ear warmers.
I think a pair of mitts with no thumbs and a top and bottom tie might work. Hmmm…
Hmmm… Miss Charlie has been consistently making herself a cozy nest in the hay. I sat and watched her go around and gather leaves to bring them to line it. I wonder …

Love the ear warmers!
Bella … not so much. Although, incredibly, she has trained ME to blow warm air onto her ears on these cold windy days. She loves it and will stand perfectly still. Then when I stop she’ll use her hoof … ‘pawing’ at my leg to get me to do it again! š

It would be so much fun to have a few keets hatch to join the flock! Not sure when/if that would start to happen.
