And out came the sunshine. Welcome after a night of below 20’C temperatures! The snow is so hard it feels like walking on styrofoam … and squeaks under my boots. It is good for hooves as it doesn’t stick. The jennies followed the sun around – finding places to snooze out of any wind. A calm day around these parts.
The Blue Jays followed their lead. They roosted in the lilac tree amid the melting ice. A great day to pull out of high speed. I think we all needed a little rest. Two more days until the solstice!
Yes, we are Solstice Bound!!! I can’t wait… So glad the jennies enjoyed the day in the sun.
Soon … sooooooooooooooooo soon!
That last Blue Jay picture is stunning. Solstice oooh no, not winter 🙂 Laura
Oh … right! For YOU the solstice is the sound of darkness heading back your way!
Right. However while I will be heading for my winter woollies I suspect you will be wearing shorts and tshirts 🙂 Laura
