We got into keets!
The keet fleet.
All four keets – up on the top of the brooding box.
Seems Guinea Hens are mirror fans.
Miss Charlie – keeping watch.

She pushed him off the perch!
… sun worshiper!
The keets are now CERTAIN they wish to stay indoors.
Sleeping perch
More heads than bodies!
Seven weeks later … and the keets are doing pretty well. We have an ‘understanding’ about how treat time works. When they hear me shake the millet feed they know its time. We picked up a cow bell this past week. I’ve hung it in the coop. I’m ringing it each time (along with shaking the feed bottle). TheĀ plan is that by springtime they associate that bell with time to hit the coop. They make room for me in the coop and don’t startle and scatter. Their feathers are changing from the striped pattern to the polka dotted one of adult birds. I’m fascinated watching them … and listening to them. Very interesting to meet a new creature like this!

My shadow …
Rufus is feeling much better.
Good to see him getting an appetite back!
Bella loves her newfound skill …
Darby … not so much. You’re NOT taller than me Bella!
Hmmm … discovered I can take a 15 second shot with my camera. Couldn’t get the big dipper … had to make my own! š
We are all settling in to watch the Grey Cup. Go Red Blacks!
