Can you feel it? My favourite season … coming on! I’m a retired teacher. When I taught I LOVED the excitement and creativity involved in starting a new school year. It was Christmas all over again. A fresh start. I figured when I stopped setting up a classroom fall would take on a different atmosphere for me. Nope. I still love the fresh air, the way my body rhythms are gearing up for a change. It was a BUSY summer for us. Now I can shuffle the paperwork off of my desk and restock for some painting, drawing, zendoodling, piano playing, discovery reading and letter writing afternoons. I got to spend a few hours just hanging out with the jennies this afternoon. I’m breathing it in – it’s still a fresh start!
