Today was a gift. The forecast was for rain most of the day. Instead we had an hour or so of showers this morning and then blue skies and lots of wind. Learning to love that wind! The blackflies … not so much. I decided to give the ‘drag’ a go. The new sand in the paddocks was all wet. Perfect timing to smooth it out without creating a sandstorm of our own. As I got started I suddenly caught a flash of black go by on my left. What??? It was the jennies – all running! That is the first time I’ve seen them kick up their heels since Paco left us.
