You know that saying, “The grass is always greener on the other side?” Well, our donkeys think of it as “The grass is always greener on the other side of the barn door!”
Nothing tastes quite as good as eating hay off the bale. I guess it is the donkey version of ‘corn on the cob’. š Take a look at Rosie’s eye. She has the greatest expressions using her eye brows. She’s thinkingĀ don’t shut the door!
It is a lot cooler this week than last. We even have the furnace on as I am writing this.
Somehow it seems that morning glories just get going around here as the heat is leaving.
This is just the third bloom for this year. There are lots of buds … I’m going to have to make that vine a fall sweater!
The sedum along the front porch has its ‘beaten down by rain’ look on today.
And most of the Black-Eyed Susans and just ‘Black Eyes’ now! Seems like summer is disappearing – one bloom at a time.
The gardens are lovely….summer might be over on the calendar, but let’s hope for a long warm fall. Winter is always far too long!
