You know the poem “Twas the Night Before Christmas”? And the part that goes “When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter.” Well, here today it went something like:
When out in the paddock there arose such a clatter.
We had to race ’round to see what was the matter!
The donkeys raced off with their heads all held high …
‘cept Rosie … who we couldn’t manage to spy …
She’d hooked the manure sled around one of her legs
And tossed it and threw it to outrun it in haste.
That darned old sled it stayed at her heels,
’round two of the barns and half way up the hill.
Once all was settled and dinner was served,
Rosie was still mighty perturbed.
She stood her ground and stared up that hill,
knowing that monster was waiting there still.
The rest might be eating … but she was on guard,
She intended to even the score in the front yard!
Poor Rosie. Love your creative work though.
Awwww … to be the fodder for such a “tail”! 😉
