Can you see the flies on Paco’s back legs? This warm fall has meant they are sticking around a LONG time … This morning I managed to sponge bug repellent on his front legs … but it was a NO GO for the back ones. After sneaking in the ‘front leg move’ I had some ‘making up’ to do! 😉
We have been having a few great chuckles this afternoon watching Bella and Darby play. Bella has no idea that she is a pipsqueak next to her tall lanky sister. She’ll put her ears down and wave her head at Darb as she chases after her throughout the woods and paddock. She jumps up and reaches for her neck with her front hooves up in the air … nipping at her and holding her head across her back. Darby will reciprocate by getting Bella in a head lock and then will whirl her in circles. They do have fun those two ‘young ones’!
All four are enjoying the bug free woods. They’ve taken to wandering the trails and even racing back and forth over the hilltop in a wild game of hide and seek.
When all of the running is done … it is time for some good ‘smooging’. 😉
