The Lion … That Which Brought Us More Snow!

I’m not sure that this March lion is able to read a calendar … Isn’t it supposed to be that the month either comes in as a lamb or a lion …? And goes out as the opposite? I’m sure that is something I heard Ede muttering as we were pitching shoulder height snowdrifts yet again over the mountain that is the end of our laneway!!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAKyla ventured out into the backyard to show us just how deep the snow was!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOnce she found the picnic table she was able to look like she was walking on water!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWe were not able to stay out very long this morning – still -25’C windchill by 11 o’clock!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWe decided to make a movie of “The Paper Bag Princess”. Soon to be premiered in a window close to you! 😉 We turned the fireplace room into a studio. With a little blue screen magic and lots of creative artistic flair we’ve captured the main ingredients.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis afternoon things warmed up quite a bit. So the girls and I set about plowing the new snow. Yesterday’s winds were from the northeast … So they handily swept the snow off the hay field right into our paddock and laneway!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWe made sure to build in time for Paco’s clicker training session. Kyla was the teacher today. She did a great job! So did he! After the ‘touch game’ she worked with him on his halter and praised him for letting me groom his back and legs.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThen he showed his gentle side even more as he allowed Lexi to be his treat giver.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERASomewhere in Paco’s history there had to have been a tiny girl or two …
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERALexi has jumped into being a donkey farmer with both feet! She was constantly hanging out with Bella and Rosie. Both are equally enchanted with her.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAll that fresh air eventually took its toll on all of us …
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERADon’t worry … it didn’t take much time at all before we rallied!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIt has been a wonderful Gramma Camp day here. Hope your day was filled with your own brand of sunshine too!
xoxo Gramma Wen
